Joymongers Brewing Company is owned and operated by Greensboro natives. We are all about small batch brewing, enabling us to always provide you with up to 17 of our finely crafted brews. We are not interested in packaging or distributing. We don’t aspire to get big and be bought out by national giants. We only want to provide our community with the freshest, most interesting variety of beers every day. We are your neighborhood gathering spot. Corner breweries like ours have existed for over 500 years in Europe. The place you come to unwind with friends and make new friends. Somewhere you can taste your favorites as well as experiment with cutting edge styles. So, come as you are, bring your dog and kick back with us as we begin our own 500 year journey!
Jim Jones
Jim is proof that life begins at 60! A Greensboro native, he has spent most of his professional life in the few blocks around Joymongers. For 25 years he and his brother ran North State Chevrolet, then, after its sale, they developed the remaining downtown 6 acres into the two Greenway apartment communities. Beer lover that he is, he next partnered with Mike and his son Brian to open Joymongers. His favorite activities are music and beer research!
“Uncle” Mike Rollinson
Mike is the guy to thank for our endless varieties of great beer. He was Head Brewer for a regional brewery for almost ten years and welcomed the opportunity to start his own. Mike has ridden his motorcycle across the eastern seaboard of the US and Canada exploring hundreds of breweries. He loves live music, his dogs and beer. Not necessarily in that order.
Brian Jones
Brian spent the last nine years in the health benefits industry managing corporate accounts and taking care of enrolled employees. Fortunately, we sent a Hostage Rescue Team in to drag him to safety. He now smiles a lot more. He loves his Joymongrel, Bubba, all kinds of music and he is a talented photo artist.
Bubba Jones
Bubba is our Head Joymongrel. Still just a pup, Bubba is learning important skills like laying on the concrete floor, sniffing our guests and begging for food crumbs. He is a rescue dog of uncertain heritage and is by far our most loved staff member.
